The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, August 23 reveals Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will continue to gaslight Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Also coming up, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will confess to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Plus, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will continue to battle a vision of Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby). And Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will tell Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) they can’t be friends.
Y&R spoilers tease Chelsea will tell Billy he saved her life, supported her and helped her get her feet back on the ground. But she can’t live with this secret. So, Billy will tell her to say it. Chelsea will admit during that night, she and Adam were raw, angry and scared.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Faith Tells Lucy That She Doesn’t Hate Her
“There was a bottle of booze and a terrible sense of desperation,” she’ll continue. “Before we knew what was happening we slept together.” Chelsea will say she’s sorry and ask if he can forgive her. “I’m glad you told me the truth,” he’ll reply. But he’ll add he feels nothing but numb.
Chelsea will say what happened with Adam meant nothing and it came out of fear. “I’m so sorry, it’s been tearing me apart inside ever since.” Billy will say he should have seen it coming. And Chelsea will tell him she wants them to get past it. But he’ll walk away, head to the park and let out a huge, angry shout.
Meanwhile, Faith will meet Lucy at the park. She’ll tell her she was going crazy being on lockdown but her parents went out, so she snuck out. “I felt like I really needed to apologize,” she’ll say. “I just wanted to make sure you didn’t hate me.”
Faith will say she doesn’t hate her, she’s just disappointed. So, Lucy will tell her she hasn’t had a drop to drink since and she’s hoping they can still be friends. But Faith will say she doesn’t see them being friends right now.
So, Lucy will ask if seeing her drinking brought back some of those feelings about Cassie. She’ll add that she knows her dad was involved. “I don’t hold it against you, what happened to Cassie,” Faith will reply. Then she’ll get a text and say she was supposed to meet her friends, leaving Lucy alone in the park.
At Sharon’s cottage, Cameron will say he knows what she’s thinking about, Cassie and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). He’ll tell her they’re on a mission. She’ll ask what mission. “You know what it is, it’s on the tip of your tongue,” he’ll say. “Maybe it’s because when Cassie died, you lost Nick too, when he turned to Phyllis.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Cameron Knows Who Is To Blame
Cameron will add that Cassie’s death changed everything for her. But Sharon will deny it. “Finding closure with Cassie, by any means necessary, will open the door to a future with Nick,” he’ll suggest. However, Sharon will say she and Nick tried to reunite, but it didn’t work. “We both know exactly who’s to blame for this,” he’ll reply.
At Adam’s apartment, he’ll ask Sally if this “sick idea” is coming from Billy. Sally will say it has nothing to do with Billy. Adam will ask what he can do to fix this. “If you really want to fix this Adam, there’s one way to do it,” she’ll reply. “Look me in the eye and tell me the truth.”
But Adam won’t answer and will continue to blame Billy. Sally will beg him to be honest. “For the last time, did you sleep with Chelsea?” she’ll ask. Adam will apologize. “I’m sorry Sally, I never expected it to come to this.”
Adam will say he’s felt nothing but stress since Connor’s diagnosis. “I feel like a failure, everyone I care about I’ve let down. I failed my son, I failed Chelsea and I failed you as a partner.” So, he’ll promise to never do anything to risk losing her again. “Yes or no Adam?” she’ll ask. And he’ll lie and say no. “Chelsea and I didn’t sleep together.”
He’ll reiterate that nothing happened and he swears it. “After everything that we have been through, I don’t want to lose you, not now, not ever,” he’ll add. “Do you believe me?” And Sally will say she does. Then she’ll tell him she feels like a huge weight has been lifted.
Finally, Adam will receive an alarming text from Chelsea. “I told Billy the truth. I had to. I’m sorry.” Sally will ask what the text was about. But Adam will lie once again and say it was something to do with work.
